Detailed cuticle work
Cuticles are cleaned with an electric file before any product goes on. It takes longer. It’s also why your nails still look clean at week four.
Structured gel
Hard or builder gel is shaped over your natural nail to give it strength and a balanced curve. It protects the nail as it grows out.
The Method
How a dry Russian manicure works
Most salons start with a water soak. We don’t. Here’s what happens instead, and why it lasts.
Dry prep
Your nails stay dry from start to finish. Soaking makes the nail plate absorb water and swell, then shrink back as it dries, which can loosen gel at the edges. Skipping the soak means gel goes onto a nail that won’t change shape underneath it.
E-file cuticle work
Krystal uses an electric file with fine bits to lift and clean the cuticle area around the nail. It’s the detail people notice first: a clean, tight line where the nail meets the skin.
Structured gel
Hard or builder gel is applied and shaped to give your natural nail an apex, the slight arch that adds strength. Then color, then a finish that holds its shape for 4-6 weeks.
